Mr. Deeds

Um. Sorry. I can't get myself to like this flicker no matter how pleasant it is. It's still one of those stupid Sandler comedies, except this one has lost its edge. Whereas some of his previous films were unfunny but interesting because they were so disgustingly whacked, this one is just unfunny as Sandler attempts to take Capra head on. The result is still very primitive but not entertaining at all. I liked John Tuturro here though as the sneaky butler, but Winona Ryder's performance is almost more embarrassing than her shoplifting charges.
