The Maid in Manhattan

Yeah sure it's pleasant, but there is nothing here that you can't get from any other romantic comedy. Jennifer Lopez (or J.Lo. or Fer.Pez. or whatever she likes to be called) stars as a hotel made who is mistaken as a really rich guest by a prolific candidate for senator (played by Ralph Fiennes). And whattdayaknow? Fienny develops a major crush on Fer.Pez, but Fer.Pez. doesn't like all the inadvertent deceit. There's a message here to not assume any type of given role in society and strive for the stars…but that's all pretty banal and is exactly the principles in which the United States was founded on. So don't expect to be moved…just amused. (P.S. Ralph Fiennes's American accent sucks.)
