Leap of Faith

This is an entertaining film about a phony, showy minister road show starring one of my favorite funnymen: Steve Martin. He parades into a small, poor Kansas town to give the citizens hope for a brighter future - and hopefully inspire them to dig through their pockets to give him all they got. (The more money you give, the more faith you have.) I really didn't like the conclusion to this movie. It wasn't a conclusion that meant something, but that didn't stop it from laying on the sickening sentiment. A film that left me with mixed feelings, but I did enjoy Martin's performance. That should be good enough for most people.
