Inherit the Wind

Spencer Tracy and Fredric March play two opposing lawyers in the famous "Monkey Trial" that ended up deciding the fate of teaching evolution in public schools. Extremely invigorating courtroom battles between Spencer Tracy and Fredric March (probably the best two actors Hollywood could have chosen at the time to play these roles) makes "Inherit the Wind" an entirely interesting and engaging courtroom drama. An interesting supporting cast includes Gene Kelley as a self-absorbed newspaper reporter, and future television stars Harry Morgan, as the judge, and Dick York, as the accused teacher.
