Hook

Perhaps it is a bit too over-bloated (even for Steven Spielberg) and overlong, boasting a two-and-a-half hour running time, but so heaven help me, I like it! Serving as a sort of sequel to the famous and oft-told tale of Peter Pan (the boy who vowed to never grow up), this story is about our hero (Robin Williams) getting amnesia, forgetting about his days in Never Never Land, and starting a family on Earth. Also, poor old Peter Pan's found enough time to turn into a nasty jerk who doesn't pay any attention to his kids. Well, Peter Pan's chilluns are kidnapped by the infamous Captain Hook (Dustin Hoffman), in an attempt to lure Pete back to Never Never Land for some revenge. Of course, Peter is very reluctant, because he thinks that it is all a fairy tale. It's certainly a fun one to watch if you can make it through all that corny "remember the kid inside of you" baloney. Great cast, too! They also include such familiar faces as Bob Hoskins as Smee, Maggie Smith as the aged Wendy, Phil Collins as the washed-up rock star, and Julia Roberts as Tinkerbell.
