Funny Face

A very enjoyable film with a mediocre plot, yet with highly creative choreography (which is definitely the filmís best aspect) and a talented cast. Audrey Hepburn stars as a twerpy intellectual who doesnít want to have anything to do with glamour magazines, until Fred Astaire comes along and asks her to model in return for a trip to Paris. There Hepburn becomes a popular fashion figure and meets the modern philosopher of her dreams. Fred Astaire and Kay Thompson are excellent singers and dancers, and Audrey Hepburn is good too. Itís the closest thing movies get to replicating a Broadway show; its done with the highest level of style few musicals ever achieve! Excellently directed.
